Meta ads

A Facebook ads agency that wins on creative, not settings

Lumiflo is a Facebook ads agency that runs Meta campaigns across Facebook, Instagram and Threads, with new creative tested every week and a landing page built to convert. Meta's automation now does the targeting, so the work that moves results is making more, better ads.

What changed in Meta ads, and why it changes the agency you need

Five years ago a good Meta ads agency won with clever audiences and tidy campaign structures. That edge is gone. Meta's ad system, including the Andromeda retrieval model it rolled out across Advantage+, now decides who sees each ad based mostly on the ad itself. Broad targeting plus a varied set of creatives usually beats a dozen hand-built interest audiences.

In practice your creative is your targeting. A founder talking to camera reaches different people than a creator unboxing the product, and both reach different people than a static comparison chart. If every ad in your account is a variation of the same idea, Meta has fewer people to show it to and costs rise.

So we run Meta as a creative operation with a media buyer attached, not the other way round. Our creative strategy team plans distinct concepts, our short-form video team makes them, and the buyer reads the results every week.

Meta campaign types and formats we use

Names as they appear in Ads Manager in late 2026.

Advantage+ sales campaigns

Renamed from Advantage+ shopping campaigns in 2025. Meta handles audience, placement and budget. A campaign only counts as Advantage+ when all three are on. Our main engine for ecommerce.

Advantage+ leads and app campaigns

The same automated setup for lead forms, waitlists and app installs. Good for launches where an email or install is the first conversion.

Partnership ads

Ads that run from a creator's handle and your brand together, using their post with permission. Managed through Meta's Creator Marketing Hub.

Advantage+ catalog ads

Product ads built from your catalog that show each person the items they viewed or are most likely to buy. Worth it once you sell more than a handful of products.

Reels, Stories and Feed placements

9:16 vertical for Reels and Stories, 4:5 or 1:1 for Feed. We deliver every winning concept in both shapes so automation is not forced to crop.

Threads placement

Threads feed is switched on by default with Advantage+ placements. We keep it on and check the placement breakdown before deciding otherwise.

How our Facebook ads agency tests creative

Testing is the job. Here is the weekly loop.

  1. Concepts before variants

Each round adds new concepts (a new angle, format or person on camera), not just new colors on the same ad. Small tweaks rarely find new buyers under Andromeda.

  2. Hooks on proven bodies

Once a concept works, we cut 3 to 5 new opening seconds on the same body. Cheap to make, often a big lift.

  3. Enough budget per test

Meta's guidance is about 50 optimization events in 7 days for an ad set to exit learning. We size budgets to that, not to a round number.

  4. Promote winners, retire losers

Winners move into the scaling campaign. Ads that fatigue get refreshed with a new hook or a new creator.

  5. Fix the page too

If click-through is strong but sales are weak, the problem is after the click. We fix the landing page or funnel before buying more traffic.

What Meta ads cost in 2026

Ranges are third-party 2026 benchmarks across Facebook and Instagram. Your category and season move them a lot.

LineTypical rangeWhat it means for you
CPMAbout $7 to $18 per 1,000 impressionsQ4 and holiday weeks can run $30 or more
Learning phaseAbout 50 conversions per ad set per weekAt a $40 cost per purchase that is about $2,000 a week per ad set
Realistic test month$6,000 to $10,000 in ad spendEnough for one scaling campaign plus a testing campaign
Creative volumeWe aim for 8 to 20 new ads a monthIncluded in our always-on plans
Agency feeFrom $3,500 a month (Lumiflo)Ad spend is paid to Meta directly and is separate

The test month figure is our planning math from the learning-phase target, not a Meta minimum. Smaller budgets work if you optimize for a cheaper event like add to cart or lead.

How a Meta ads agency should measure results

Meta's own reporting is a starting point, not the answer. Since iOS privacy changes, in-platform numbers are partly modeled, and Meta tends to claim credit for sales that other channels helped start. We set up the Pixel and Conversions API properly on day one, then check three numbers each week: Meta-reported cost per purchase, blended revenue against total ad spend from your store, and what buyers say in a one-question post-purchase survey.

When the numbers disagree, we trust the store. For bigger budgets we also suggest a holdout test, pausing Meta in one region for a few weeks, to see how much revenue it really drives. You get one weekly report with all three numbers side by side, and a plain note on what we are changing next. If you want the full sequence, our campaign launch guide walks through it.

Meta ads mistakes we fix most often

  • Ten ad sets with tiny budgets, none of them leaving the learning phase.
  • Twenty near-identical ads that Meta treats as one idea.
  • Interest stacks and lookalikes fighting Advantage+ instead of feeding it creative.
  • Broken Conversions API or duplicate events, so Meta optimizes toward bad data.
  • Editing budgets by large jumps every day, which keeps resetting learning.
  • Judging success on in-platform ROAS alone, with no check against store revenue.
  • Sending paid traffic to a homepage instead of a page that matches the ad.

Case study: a new product launch

We launched a new product. In 2 weeks, these are the results.

  1. 115kfollowers, starting from zero
  2. 7,000+emails collected
  3. 100+purchases across an app, a book and a paid community

No audience, no list and no sales on day one. Organic content earned the follow, a landing page captured the email, and three offers closed the sale. Read the case study.

Questions

Is a Facebook ads agency the same as a Meta ads agency?

Yes. Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads and the Audience Network are all bought in Meta Ads Manager, so a Facebook ads agency runs Instagram ads too. Our Instagram page covers the organic side.

How much should I spend on Facebook ads?

Plan for enough budget to get about 50 conversions per ad set per week. For many ecommerce brands that means $6,000 to $10,000 a month to start. Our agency cost guide covers fees.

Do you use Advantage+ campaigns?

Yes, for most sales and lead goals. We keep a manual testing campaign alongside so new concepts get a fair read before they join the Advantage+ campaign.

How fast will I see results?

Most campaigns go live 3 to 4 weeks after the brief. The first two weeks of spend are mostly learning; we report numbers weekly from day one.

Do Facebook ads still work for younger buyers?

Meta ads reach them mainly through Instagram Reels and Stories, which run in the same campaigns. Placement reports show you exactly where sales come from.
