TikTok Creator Rewards requirements in 2026
Straight from TikTok's Creator Rewards Program page in the Creator Academy, last published September 2026.
| Requirement | TikTok's rule |
|---|---|
| Age | At least 18 years old |
| Followers | At least 10,000 |
| Views | At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days |
| Account type | Personal accounts only. Business accounts and political or government accounts do not qualify. |
| Location | Based in, with an account registered in, the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico or Brazil |
| Standing | Account in good standing with the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and no tampering or fraud |
| How to apply | Profile, Menu, TikTok Studio, Creator Rewards Program. TikTok says you will hear back within three days. |
Account limits also apply: 5 video violations in 30 days makes an account ineligible, and 5 total account violations makes it permanently ineligible. A permanently banned account forfeits any outstanding rewards.
Which videos qualify, and what counts as a qualified view
Being in the program does not mean every video earns. TikTok's video and view rules, from the same Creator Academy pages:
- The video must be original and longer than one minute. A 58-second video earns nothing from this program.
- It needs at least 1,000 views on the For You feed before it starts earning.
- Duets, Stitches and Photo Mode posts do not qualify.
- Ads, paid promotions and sponsored content do not qualify, so your brand deal videos earn the brand fee only.
- A qualified view needs at least five seconds of watch time. Views from search need at least 30 seconds.
- Repeat views from the same account count once, and views where someone taps "I'm not interested" do not count.
- Only views from the eight program countries count. A video that goes viral in a non-program country can earn very little.
- To earn the higher Additional Reward, videos should be 1080p or higher and, in TikTok's words, well-crafted, engaging and specialized.
- Your profile matters too. TikTok lists personal or business contact information in your profile as "Advertising" that can make content ineligible, so use a link, not an email address in your bio text.
TikTok Creator Rewards pay per 1,000 views
TikTok does not publish a rate. Its rewards explainer splits pay into two parts. The Standard Reward is based on qualified views and depends on where your viewers are and the language of your content. The Additional Reward is a quality bonus that moves with average watch time, retention, completion rate and search value. Together they set your RPM, which TikTok defines as average gross revenue per 1,000 qualified views.
Since TikTok will not say, the numbers come from creators who share their dashboards. Influencer Marketing Hub's October 2026 guide puts typical earnings at $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. Stack Influence's July 2026 roundup, based on disclosed creator results, lands on about $0.36 to $1.04, and both stress that individual creators fall outside the range. US-heavy audiences, longer watch time and search-driven topics push you toward the top. Entertainment that people skim pushes you toward the bottom.
The detail that trips people up is the word qualified. Your view counter counts everything. The program only pays on unique views of five seconds or more from program countries, on videos over a minute that cleared 1,000 For You views. A video with 1.5 million views on the counter can have far fewer qualified views in the Creator Rewards dashboard.
What 1 million views on TikTok earns from Creator Rewards
The math is simple: qualified views divided by 1,000, times your RPM. Here it is at the low and high end of the reported range.
| Qualified views | At $0.40 RPM | At $1.00 RPM |
|---|---|---|
| 100,000 | $40 | $100 |
| 500,000 | $200 | $500 |
| 1,000,000 | $400 | $1,000 |
| 5,000,000 | $2,000 | $5,000 |
| 10,000,000 a month, every month | $4,000 a month | $10,000 a month |
RPM range from creator-reported figures (Influencer Marketing Hub, October 2026; Stack Influence, July 2026). TikTok says withdrawals are typically processed within 72 hours, though banks and PayPal can hold funds longer.
Is TikTok Creator Rewards worth it? The same 1 million views, two ways
Here is what the same attention can earn when part of it goes to a link in bio, an email list and a product you own. The funnel numbers are our planning assumptions, not benchmarks, so swap in your own in the creator income calculator.
| Step | Creator Rewards only | Link in bio + email list + your product |
|---|---|---|
| Views | 1,000,000 qualified | 1,000,000 |
| Clicks to your link | Not needed | 0.5% of viewers tap through: 5,000 visits (assumption) |
| Email sign-ups | None | 20% of warm visitors join: 1,000 subscribers (Leadpages puts warm opt-in traffic at 15% to 30%) |
| Sales | None | 3% of new subscribers buy a $49 product: 30 sales (assumption) |
| Revenue from those views | $400 to $1,000 | $1,470 |
| What you keep afterwards | Nothing that compounds | 1,000 subscribers you can sell the next product to, with no algorithm in between |
Opt-in range from Leadpages' 2026 conversion benchmarks. You do not have to choose: a video over one minute can earn Creator Rewards and send people to your link at the same time.
Other ways TikTok pays creators in 2026
Creator Rewards is one of several programs. Here is how the others work, per TikTok's Creator Academy, plus the options you own.
Subscription
Followers pay a monthly fee for sub-only videos, badges and perks. You set the price from $2.99 to $99.99 a month (the default is $5.99). After app store fees you get 70%, and up to 90% with a bonus that needs over 10,000 followers, over 100,000 views in the last calendar month and regular sub-only posts. See TikTok's Subscription page.
TikTok Shop affiliate
You add product links to videos, LIVE sessions or your showcase and earn a commission when people buy in the app. No inventory, and buyers check out without leaving TikTok. Check the commission on each product before you post.
LIVE gifts and Super Fan
Super Fan costs fans $9.99 a month on LIVE. TikTok shares 50% of its net revenue with you after the 15% to 30% iOS or Google payment fee. Best for creators who go live often.
Brand deals
Often the biggest TikTok paycheck once you have an engaged niche audience. Remember that sponsored videos do not earn Creator Rewards.
Your own product
An ebook, template, course or app sold through your link. You keep most of the price and own the customer. Start with our guide to launching a digital product.
A paid community
Recurring revenue you control, off the platform. It pairs well with an email list. See how to start a paid community.
How to get the most from Creator Rewards without depending on it
Qualify first
If you are below 10,000 followers, focus on growth, not monetization settings. Our guide to how many followers you need to make money shows what each threshold opens up.
Make videos that are long for a reason
Stretching a 30-second idea to 61 seconds hurts retention, and retention drives the Additional Reward. Pick topics that need a minute: tutorials, breakdowns, stories, reviews.
Write for search
TikTok counts search value in your RPM, and search views count once they pass 30 seconds. Say the searched phrase out loud and put it in the caption.
Check the dashboard, not the view counter
Compare qualified views and RPM by video in TikTok Studio. Make more of what earns the highest RPM, not only what gets the most views.
Appeal when a video is wrongly excluded
TikTok gives you 80 days to appeal an ineligible video and 30 days to appeal an account disqualification, from the notification in your inbox.
Point every good video somewhere you own
Add a bio link to an opt-in page and a spoken call to action. Our guide on building an email list as a creator covers the lead magnet, the keyword automation and the welcome sequence.
Case study: a new product launch
We launched a new product. In 2 weeks, these are the results.
- 115kfollowers, starting from zero
- 7,000+emails collected
- 100+purchases across an app, a book and a paid community
No audience, no list and no sales on day one. Organic content earned the follow, a landing page captured the email, and three offers closed the sale. Read the case study.
Where the real money is for TikTok creators
The creators who earn well from TikTok treat platform payouts as a bonus and build a creator sales funnel behind the content: a link, an email list, an offer and a checkout. In our case study, a new product went from zero to 115k followers in 2 weeks, and the funnel behind it collected 7,000+ emails and 100+ purchases across an app, a book and a paid community. No view-based payout gets close to that from the same attention.
That is the gap we fill for creators and personal brands: organic growth plus the funnel that turns followers into buyers. For the right creator we work on a revenue share, with a lower upfront fee and a percentage of the sales we help create, so we only do well when you do.
